Deathloop: Shooter would not be possible on old consoles

In the latest edition of the Play Magazine, Dinga Bakaba speaks of Deathloop developer Arcane Studios about some aspects of the upcoming shooter.

RIP Forza 7. One of the topics discussed is what positive influence the new consoles together with more powerful hardware had on the game design. According to Bakaba, the basic principle of Deathloop was also possible on the old consoles, but absorbers would have been inevitable.

As an example, he calls the shooter's cards that have to be divided into two parts consoles of the last generation in two parts:

"I do not believe that we could have stopped the ambitions of this game without the next generation. It is always heartbreaking, if you arrive at the end of a project, you have to get the most out of things, and then you have to cut his card into two halves and justify why they consists of two parts. "

Deathloop appears on 14 September 2021 for PlayStation 5 and PC. The shooter is subject to a one-year console extremity for PlayStation. From September 2022, a publication for Xbox Series X | S would be possible.
